you to Green River College. You had many choices to pursue your academic
studies and professional career and we’re excited you chose Green River to
achieve your goals!
During your time as a Gator, you will undoubtedly grow in every area of
your life. At its best, college life is a mix of academic and social experiences
partnered together, create an environment in which you can flourish. You will find such
an environment here at Green River. It is our hope you will benefit from our campus
community through the support services and educational programs both inside and
outside of the classroom.
The guiding principle of Student Affairs is to place the highest priority on the needs and

We strongly believe students grow and develop by challenging themselves through
academic discourse AND through college programs, activities and other co-curricular
experiences. This handbook will serve as your guide to ways you can connect and
deepen your experience at Green River, including participation in the Community,
Leadership, Education & Outreach Program (CLEO), student government, recreation and
athletics, professional societies, cultural organizations, Commencement Achievement
Program (CAP), clubs & organizations and so much more. You have the choice to fill your
college experience with rich and unique opportunities and we are here to support you
on your journey!
The Green River student handbook will help you organize your time and serve as a useful
resource as you progress through your academic experience. We are here to help you
arrive at your final academic destination.
