BCS is closely monitoring the guidance from the AHSAA and will evaluate all sports programs to make the best-informed decisions for keeping our students and coaches safe. If sports events are approved, all competitions will adhere to the above requirements

Yes, BCS is committed to ensuring our students are provided breakfast and lunch through our Child Nutrition program. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to students when they are at school. However, when students are learning remotely or for students enrolled in BCS Virtual, all meals will be available for pick-up for students at any school site within the district at designated service times. FAQ: INSTRUCTION & TECHNOLOGY
Yes, students will receive live instruction from a BCS teacher and will also be required to log on to the district’s online learning platforms. All learning and assignments will be aligned to the Alabama State Department of Education College and Career Ready Standards (CCRS).
Yes, students will take various benchmark and progress monitoring assessments throughout the school year. The data from these assessments of students will be used by teachers to inform their instruction and will be shared with parents so that they can support their child’s learning at home.
School leadership will discuss individual students’ needs and make case-by-case decisions for students who receive gifted services.
