If you call an RA or
Security and stay to help, you will
invoke our
Medical Amnesty Policy
which protects you and helps protect
the other person(s) as well.
Who to Call:
The on-call RA, Area Director or Security (x4444) and report situation and location. If it is a life-
threatening situation, call 9-911 and report situation and location. Then call Security (x4444) and do the
same.

Alcohol and drug support, counseling, treatment, and rehabilitation/re-entry programs for students are
available from a variety of sources. Anyone who recognizes a personal alcohol or drug problem, is
concerned about another student, is looking for a referral, or who may wish to know more about alcohol

Give the person any drugs
Give the person any coffee.
Stimulants
will not counter the effect of alcohol.
Give the person a cold shower
. The
shock of a cold shower can cause
fainting.
Try to keep the person awake
.
Induce vomiting.
Semi-conscious
people can easily choke.
Constrain the person.
You or the other
person could get hurt in the process.
Leave the person alone.
