CLUBS
GETTING THE MOST OUT OF COLLEGE
Your education at Cal Poly Pomona will be more than what you learn in the classroom. It will also include the social and organizational skills you will acquire by being involved in a student club or organization. Statistics show that students that get involved in a student organization are happier, have higher GPAs, and have a much higher graduation rate. In addition, graduate schools and future employers will look to see what type of leadership experience you acquired as a college student. Traits such as dependability, reliability, initiative, and follow-through are important traits that club advisors and faculty can attest to in letters of recommendation.

University Hour
Most student clubs and organizations hold their meetings on Tuesdays or Thursdays, 12pm- 1pm. This is University Hour. The University does not schedule any classes during this time to allow students to get involved with campus activities.
Ag Council
Ag Council is the umbrella organization for all the student clubs and organizations within the Huntley College of Agriculture. It has its own team of officers and meets every other Tuesday at noon. It is the central funding link between ASI (Associated Students Incorporated) and the Huntley College of Agriculture clubs. Each student club and organization has representatives that sit on the council.
Ag Council sponsors many college-wide activities and events: Fall Agriculture Leadership Luncheon & Seminar (FALLS), the Ice Cream Social & Club Fair, Pizza with the Dean, Ag Beautification, and Spring Fling. Ag Council elections are held spring semester.
