The College’s policy, GA-31 Sex Discrimination Investigation Procedure, is on the Green River College Website. ALSO SEE PAGE 132 The Green River College Center for Transformational Wellness (CTW) implements campus-wide strategies to prevent interpersonal violence, promote wellness, and provide support to all members of the campus community that have experienced stalking, harassment, sexual assault and relationship violence. The CTW holds annual awareness events, provides bystander intervention training, and connects anyone on campus that has experienced violence to resources and support both on and off campus. The CTW believes it is possible for Green River College to be a place where interpersonal violence is not tolerated, and where everyone in our campus community has the skills and tools to prevent harm. WHAT IS GATORS CARE? The Gators CARE Committee, is committed to fostering a safe learning and working environment for the Green River College community by providing prevention education, training and resources to students and employees. The committee is made up of staff, faculty, CCA staff, students, and community partners. More information can be found at www.greenriver.edu. WHAT IS VAWA? The Violence Against Women Act is a federal law enacted to improve the criminal justice and community-based responses to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking. VAWA, along with the Campus Save Act and the Jeanne Clery Act, have worked together to improve the safety of college campuses. Under these PARKING AND 156 TRANSPORTA- TION Parking lots are located on the east, south and west sides of the main campus. Students are encouraged to park in these lots or at the Family of Grace Lutheran Church, or carpool to campus. Campus Safety also provides a fee-based guaranteed parking program located in the southwest corner of campus called P-5 (see below). Campus Safety recommends students register their cars, which is free through the Cashier’s Office or Campus Safety in the Student Affairs Building. Students may park their vehicles on campus in any unmarked general stall. The college has designated parking spaces for carpool, motorcycles, faculty/staff and vehicles with state-issued disability tags. CARPOOL PARKING Pick up a carpool pass each day you carpool to the main campus at the Campus 156
