Tardy Policy
You must always sign in at the Attendance Office if you are late to school or miss a class. For those with a 1st period study hall and wish to have a late arrival, you must turn in your “Study Hall Late or Early Dismissal” form to the Attendance Office. Students will be counted absent if they report to school after 1/3 of the period is over. Parent and health notes concerning tardies must be presented on arrival.
When a student is late to school, he/she must sign in at the attendance office. SCMSC/RDA students should sign in at either school.
Tardy Procedures
8:10-8:15 a.m. All Students report to first period
8:15 a.m. Students arriving after 8:15 a.m. will report
directly to and sign in at the Attendance Office.
Classroom Tardies
Students who are not in the classroom when the tardy bell rings will be classified as tardy.
OFFENSE
Tardy #1 to any period
Failure to attend lunch detention
Tardies #11-15
Tardies #16 and beyond
CONSEQUENCE
Teacher Warning
referral for ISS referral for ISS
referral for OSS
Tardies #2-10 to 1st and 2nd period
10 minute lunch detention per period at beginning of lunch on the day of the tardy
Tardies #2-10 to 3rd and 4th period
10 minute lunch detention per period at beginning of lunch on the next day
