Northeast State Community College’s safe campus initiative, Safe Northeast: A Safe Campus Saves You!, is an institution-wide effort to create safe and respectful environments in which all College constituencies can learn and work without fear of harassment or threat of violence.
Northeast State strives to maintain an environment that is free of intimidation and encourages the development of students and employees to their fullest extent. Policy clearly states that the College will not tolerate acts or threats of acts of sexual assault, physical assault, or any type of violence.
Employees and students are prohibited from engaging in the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession, use, or being under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol on the College campus, at off-campus facilities owned or controlled by the College, or as a part of College- sponsored activities.
Northeast State provides College-wide programs that focus on campus security, personal safety, and issues related to violence in accordance with TCA § 49-7-137. Read more at www.NortheastState.edu/SafeNortheast.
