Student Success Center
NTC’s new Student Success Center fosters an environment that enables students to succeed both in the classroom and in the workplace. Services available at the center include tutoring, exam proctoring, library assistance, academic coaching, career services and academic advising.
NTC’s website also includes an Academic Success Toolbox that can
help improve your academic skills. Your advisers, tutors and instructors can help you make the best use of the information in this toolkit, which includes:
• Skills & strategies for time management, including tips on how to use a planner like this one.
• Study skills assessment, including tools to help you identify your learning style and your personal strengths.
• Strategies for successful studying, including how to take notes, tips for working with a study group, test preparation tips and information to determine whether lack of sleep may be holding you back.
• Information about Starfish, an online communication
tool that connects you, your instructors and NTC student support services. Learn how to set up your Starfish profile and how to use it to help you reach your goals.
