Holding the Respondent Accountable • If the respondent is a Penn State student, a case manager in the Office of Student Conduct can discuss options for holding the person accountable. It is possible to initiate an informal or formal disciplinary process. You will not be forced to participate in the conduct process against your will, and you can change your mind about your involvement at any time. • Penn State Altoona police, 814-949-5222, or police located in the jurisdiction where the incident occurred, can provide support whether the respondent is a student or not. The police may also assist with a protection from abuse order. Preventing Contact with the Respondent If the respondent is a student, you may request a directive from the Office of Student Conduct for no contact, which would advise the respondent s/he can have no direct or indirect contact with you. Hiding Personal Information Complainants may have all directory information that is usually available through campus information made confidential through the Registrar's office. For more information or questions regarding any of the above information, please contact the Title IX Resource Person at 814-949-5065. Complainants of Title IX violations are encouraged to seek services and support from Penn State University resources. If a complainant wishes, a claim may also be made outside of the University to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission at 717- 787-9780. PUBLIC TRANSIT amtran.org/penn-state-altoona Download the Amtran app by visiting the App Store and searching for myStop Mobile. Through this app you can access information about routes, stops, trips, and alerts. The myStop app is a must-have for any student who plans to use public transit. HELPFUL TIPS • Be sure to always bring your ID. • Look at the bus destination signs on the front and sides of each bus to find out where the bus is headed. Ask the driver if you need help. • To get downtown for a class on the hour, take the 20 after the hour bus. You will be cutting it close if you take the 20 of the hour bus. • Avoid scheduling back-to-back classes between the Ivyside and downtown campuses. • Plan time for walking from the bus to class. The buses stop at the Transit Center downtown, and you will need to walk to Devorris, Aaron, and Penn Buildings and the Sheetz Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence. 7
