Dear Students,
It is with tremendous pleasure that I welcome you to the 2015-2016
academic year, a year that promises to be more prosperous and dynamic than
ever before.
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College has spent more than 50 years serving Rowan and Cabarrus
counties, ultimately educating nearly 650,000 students. Over time, the College has progressively
evolved in response to our community’s needs, annually serving more than 20,000 students on
our seven campuses and sites across our two counties.
I firmly believe that education is the best
investment anyone can make. It improves the lives
of individuals, their families and the community.
I commend you for making the commitment to
yourself, your family and your future.
I can tell you that great efforts are being made
to ensure we are offering the best educational
options and facilities. Last year set a new record
for distance education courses and we will
continue to grow these options because we know
it is a learning method you are passionate about.
Recently, we launched a mobile application
that makes registering for classes and accessing
academic information easier than ever.
I am so grateful you have chosen Rowan-Cabarrus Community College as one of the milestones
on your lifelong educational journey. After all, if we’re not learning, we’re not growing. You are
what really makes this college special and I know we will have an incredible academic year
