                The Center was developed to provide academic advising, counseling and referrals to student services programs, and peer-to-peer advising to improve retention and graduation rates. This welcoming environment encourages students to connect with one another. Students who visit the Dreamers Resource Center learn about the transition into college and how to complete their educational and career goals. Legal referrals are also available.
The DRC is located in the Liberal Arts Building, Room 121 and is part of the First Year Experience within the Student Services Division.

Extended Opportunity Program and Services (EOPS) and Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) (AD/SS-202)
The Extended Opportunity Programs & Services (EOPS) program is a state- funded student services program designed to provide academic counseling and specialized support services to students who are both educationally and economically disadvantaged. The EOPS program promotes student success with extended counseling support, priority registration and textbook services- just to name a few. Participation in this program is open to California residents and to AB 540 students who are eligible to receive the California College Promise Grant (formerly known as Board of Governor’s Fee Waiver) A or B, have completed less than 70 degree-applicable units, are enrolled or plan to enroll full-time (12 units each fall and spring semester) and are determined to be educationally disadvantaged based on responses to questions on the EOPS application. EOPS-eligible students who are single-head of household. have at least one dependent child under age 18, and currently receiving TANF/CalWORKs (cash-aid) benefits for self and/or for dependents may also be eligible to participate in the Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education or CARE Program. In addition to the EOPS services mentioned above, the CARE program provides grants, field trips, meal vouchers, school supplies, etc. All support services are contingent upon funding.
