Disbursement Method
All financial aid awards will be disbursed via direct deposit (ACH Transfer) or to the BankMobile Vibe Checking Account, depending on the option you choose. Identity verification is required by federal law for all new BankMobile Vibe Checking Accounts. If you open a Vibe Checking Account, you may be asked to provide more information than was requested in the account opening process.

First Year Experience (FYE) (LA-132)
The San Bernardino Valley College (SBVC) First Year Experience (FYE) program is designed to successfully transition first year students into college. FYE provides a supportive and welcoming environment where first year students connect with student support services on campus to ensure student success. The program supports both full time and part time students.
The First Year Experience Program offers:
• Guaranteed courses-No competing for classes.
• Book assistance and supplies.
• Embedded academic counseling that focuses on educational and
career goals.
• Study groups & learning communities.
• Supplemental instruction.
• Enhance study skills.
• Learn how to utilize library resources to conduct research.
• Academic support workshops, tutoring, fieldtrips, mentoring, and
service learning projects.
• Connect with student support services.
• Successfully transition first year students into college.

Guardian Scholars (Foster Youth Services) (LA-128)
The Guardian Scholars program is designed to assist current and former foster youth between the ages of 17 years to 24 years with the pursuit of a Post-Secondary Education.
