Voter Registration
San Bernardino Valley College encourages eligible students to register to vote. Students may access the California Voter Registration website by logging onto WebAdvisor and selecting “Voter Registration” on the "Other Services" tab and by clicking on “Register to Vote”. The Associated Student Government also organizes voter registration drives periodically throughout the school year.
Guided Pathways
The Guided Pathways framework creates a highly structured approach to student success that provides all students with a set of clear course-taking patterns that promotes better enrollment decisions and prepares students for future success. The Guided Pathways framework also integrates support services in ways that make it easier for students to get the help they need during every step of their community college experience. Writing Center (LA-201)
The Writing Center helps students at all levels and from all disciplines to improve their writing. The Center houses an experienced staff of writing consultants who are available for one-on-one writing conferences with students. In addition, the Center offers ESL conversation groups that meet weekly to explore language issues that challenge non-native speakers of English and schedules workshops through the year that focus on various aspects of the writing process. ZERO TEXTBOOK COST DEGREE PROGRAM (PS-116)
This program is designed to improve student success by providing students access to a textbook-free Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Social and Behavioral Sciences. The course sections in this AA degree exclusively use digital or other instructional materials that are free of charge. However, low-cost options for print versions may also be available, based on student preference. In addition, a dedicated counselor will provide academic support and resources to assist students in successful degree completion.
