Work-Based Learning
In keeping with its policy of offering new and enriching opportunities for students, the college awards academic credit for cooperative work experience in many of its curricula. Work-Based Learning is an educational program of practical, supervised, paid and unpaid work experience that is directly related to the student’s curriculum. The on-the-job train- ing is a meaningful way for students to learn, to gain valuable work experience, to make educated career choices and to potentially earn money while going to college. Interested students should contact their program advisors or Dean Russell (r_russell@southwest- erncc.edu), Work-Based Learning Coordinator. Students are expected to have accident/ medical insurance.
