                CAMPUS SAFETY
The safety of the campus and our community members is a top priority here at USF. Many departments provide safety resources for the campus. However, you have a role in this as well. Here are important links to educating yourself, protecting the safety of your property and person, and helping us to protect the community.

• USF Safe App
The USF Safe App is available as a free download. You can make emergency calls; trigger Mobile Bluelight; and more. AlertUSF AlertUSF text messages are part of the USF Emergency Notification System that allows you to receive emergency updates. Register or update your contact information regularly at: https://www.usf.edu/administrative- services/emergency-management/programs/emergency-notification-system.aspx
• Tampa campus SAFE Team
The SAFE Team provides on campus transportation and escort from point to point late at night on the Tampa campus. More information on page 180.
• Off the Grid
Off the Grid is a USF Tampa collaborative group lead by University Police and the Dean of Students office that works with the local community to address safety issues off campus and create education and awareness campaigns for students who live off campus.
• Blue Lights
Blue Lights around campus are connected directly to 911. If you are experiencing an emergency, push the button. If you are not safe where you are, keep going from light to light pushing the button. Emergency personnel will find you.
• 911
Contact 911 if you are having an emergency on any campus.
• Property Registration
If your item is lost, stolen, or misplaced, University Police can help you recover your property if it is registered. https:// usfweb.usf.edu/property_ registration/registration.aspx

• Maintain awareness at all times
• Use safety resources
• Register valuable property with the University Police Department
• If you see something, say something. Report suspicious activity at 855-FLA-SAFE
• If you see an emergency situation or need help, contact 911
• Lock doors and properly secure bicycles
• Consider safety features when choosing an apartment complex – you can find helpful tips on the Dean of
