Student Conduct & Ethical Development
(All campuses)
Student Conduct and Ethical Development (SCED) collaborates with the USF community to advocate for a safe environment that promotes personal accountability and supports student success. SCED facilitates educational opportunities through meaningful interactions with students to encourage their academic, emotional, and professional development. The goal of SCED is to create environments that empower students to engage as ethical citizens in a global society.
For the most current version of the Student Code of Conduct (USF Regulation 6.0021), visit the SCED website and click on ‘Code of Conduct’

Student Ombuds (All campuses)
The Student Ombuds Office is a resource for students who have encountered university-related issues and concerns and are seeking guidance. It operates under these ethics:
• CONFIDENTIALITY: Concerns or information brought to the office will not be shared with anyone unless you give permission for it to be shared and the staff feels that sharing will help solve your problem. The only exception to this is imminent risk of harm.
• IMPARTIALITY: The ombuds does not advocate for students or the university. The ombuds considers the interests of all parties involved with the goal of achieving fair and equitable solutions.
• INDEPENDENCE: The Ombuds Office operates independently of administrative authorities.
• INFORMALITY: The Ombuds Office staff may informally look into concerns but cannot arbitrate, adjudicate, or participate in formal processes.
Call or email us for an appointment on your campus, by phone or on Microsoft Teams.
