• Ft . DeSoto Beach, located off St. Petersburg’s southern tip, has been named the number one beach in the United
States. Named after the historic fort located on the 900-acre park, visitors can tour the five islands that comprise
the park. From the island’s shores, visitors enjoy a panorama of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.
• Treasure Island, 11260 Gulf Blvd., St. Petersburg’s Municipal Beach, located on the shores of Treasure Island,
boasts 500 feet of sandy white shores. The beach includes full shower and changing facilities, a snack bar, beach
volleyball courts, and a beach wheelchair for handicapped beach goers.
• Sunken Gardens is a botanical paradise in the midst of a bustling city. As St. Pete’s oldest living museum, this

• St . Petersburg Pier: This gleaming new attraction on the city’s picturesque waterfront has 26 beautiful acres
that seamlessly combine the peaceful blue waters of Tampa Bay with the vibrant greenery of downtown St.

• The African American Heritage Trails are walking tours of downtown neighborhoods that provide an overview

• Museum of Fine Arts: The elegant Palladian-style building combines the styles of a classic art museum and a Mediterranean villa at home in Florida’s tropical climate.
