WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE RENEGADES!
This is your year. Whether you are new to the Renegade Family or a returning student, Bakersfield College faculty and staff are here to support you every step of the way on your educational journey. I encourage you to reach out to your professors when you have questions, see a counselor to map your educational path, and take advantage of academic supports like tutoring. Don’t forget to visit our Student Employment office to get assistance finding a part-time job or internship, and be sure to get involved on campus and grow your leadership skills through
our student government or one of our student clubs.
Whether you attend classes on the Panorama campus, Weill Institute, BC SouthWest, Delano, Arvin, Shafter, or Wasco we want to partner with you to ensure your personal success as you
move toward graduation. At Bakersfield College, there is a place for everyone.
My tips for success:
1. Enroll in 15 units each semester or 30 units per year with
summer classes to ensure degree completion within 2 years.
2. Enroll in Math and English in the first semester to be best prepared for your major courses and to meet
transfer requirements
