Can I change my meal plan or purchase additional meals if I run out of meals during the semester?
Yes, you may do so through the housing application in MyCoastalHome. You have the first two weeks of the semester to change meal plans. For Fall 2018, meal plans can change until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018. If you run out of meals before the semester ends, you can always add Dining Dollars. They can be added anytime in the Student Accounts office or online at coastal.edu/cinocard/ cinocardlogin. Also, make sure to follow @CCUFoodCrew on Instagram and Twitter for up-to-date and exclusive dining information and promotions.
Is it required to have a meal plan when living in the residence halls?
Yes, all first- and second-year students living on campus are required to buy
a meal plan from the residential plan options. First-year students can choose from the Unlimited, Bronze or Basic 21 meal plan. Second-year students can choose from the Unlimited, Basic 21, Bronze or Teal meal plan. Unlimited and per-week meal plans are to be used by the possessor of the meal plan only.
Who do I talk to regarding my dietary needs and meals in the dining halls?
If you have any allergy concerns or special dietary needs, contact our registered dietician, Molly Ford, at 843.349.2704. CCUFoodCrew offers a variety of meal options, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
What is the difference between CINO Cash and Dining Dollars?
The main difference between CINO Cash and Dining Dollars is that CINO Cash can be used off campus at approved locations; it can also be used on campus. Dining Dollars can only be used on campus at any of our 14 dining facilities. The Dining Dollars that come with each meal plan expire at the end of the semester. If you purchase extra Dining Dollars, those additional dollars roll over from semester to semester.
How do I know if I have the right meal plan?
Choosing the right meal plan really depends on personal eating habits. We have a variety of meal plans to meet your needs! Depending on your class year, where you live, and how much you are on campus, our recommendations may vary. Our residential dining halls are a great place to socialize and make new friends.
Your CINO Cash and Dining Dollars are both housed on your CINO Card. They are used like a debit card. When you make a purchase, the total is subtracted from the balance on your account.
CCUFoodCrew suggests that students who are unsure which meal plan to
select should consider selecting the unlimited plan to ensure you have enough meals for the semester. If you still need help choosing a plan, give us a call at 843.349.6933 or email us at ccufoodcrew@gmail.com.
