Steps to Becoming a Student STEP 1: SUBMIT A FREE APPLICATION
Apply online at https://www.opencccapply.net/gateway/apply?cccMisCode=921
Within 3 business days you will receive an email from Chaffey College with a confirmation of your application and your Chaffey student ID number, and instructions for logging in to the Chaffey portal. Visit the Admissions Office at the Rancho, Fontana, or Chino campuses for additional assistance.

STEP 2: APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID
You may be eligible for free tuition, and other free aid including grants, work study, Panther Promise, and scholarships. Complete the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA). Students who qualify under AB540 can submit the Dream Act Application.
Panther Promise: If you are a first-year student and will be full- time, you may be eligible for free tuition for a year. Students can submit a Panther Promise Grant application

New Student Orientation (NSO) is designed for both new and returning students to help integrate them into campus and college life. By providing information on student services and resources for success, Chaffey College welcomes and supports you as you begin your educational journey.
The NSO can be completed online via MyChaffey portal. Click on New Student registration steps.
STEP 4: COMPLETE PLACEMENT PROCESS
Note: All students are eligible to register for English 1A and Math 4 or Stat 10 or SCSCI 10 or ACCTGFS 30.
The Chaffey College Placement Center offers Math placement for students who are interested in placing into a higher-level math course.
