Fitness Center
The Carl Sandburg College Fitness Center offers
a relaxed atmosphere with a strong educational
foundation. If you are a newcomer to exercise
or a seasoned novice, you will appreciate the
one-on-one service we offer. We are dedicated
to providing health enhancement services to
the college community. Goals of the Sandburg
Fitness Program include developing positive
lifestyle habits, learning the principles of fitness and acquiring the skills of
lifetime activities that lead to continued participation. We offer a comprehensive
fitness program at an affordable cost. You may choose to use the facilities as
a community member as non-credit or as a student and receive credit toward
your college career. The Fitness Center is open to the public, serving a diverse
population from 16 years of age to senior citizens. Free use for students enrolled
in three or more credit hours. Supervisors are in the fitness center at all times to
offer assistance. Fitness equipment at the Carthage Campus is located in room
10; students may reserve times in the library to use specific equipment. For more
