                  STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION
The Student Government Association (SGA) is the officially recognized student governance body for Carl Sandburg College. SGA is a liaison between students and Sandburg that governs student organizations and promotes events on campus. It is composed of 15 student senators and five executive officers. Elections are held each fall semester. Applications are available at http://sandburg.edu/Campus-Life/Student- Government-Association or pick one up at the Student Life Office in B56 on the Main Campus.
STUDENT ID CARDS
Student IDs are issued during new student orientation through the Public Safety Office at the Main Campus, or the Branch Campus library in Carthage. Student IDs are used for identification purposes and entry to Sandburg campus events. IDs are also used in the library to check out books, ebooks/audio books and other library materials.
STUDENT LIFE
Carl Sandburg College offers a variety of co-curricular activities to complement the academic curriculum. These activities contribute to your personal and professional development. There are many student organizations and events for students to participate in throughout the school year. Meet new people, get involved, develop skills and have fun! The Office of Student Life is located in B56 on the Main Campus. Whether you are looking for an organization that aligns with your academic program, your personal interests or something completely out of the ordinary, we have more than 20 active student organizations to get you involved! TECH HELP
Sandburg Tech Help provides professional, quick and courteous technical and hardware support for students, faculty and staff. Visit in person in the Library on the Main Campus, email support@sandburg.edu or call 309.341.5446.
TRANSFER SERVICES
The Transfer Services coordinator provides students with information about transferring to four-year colleges and universities and insight on courses that will transfer. Transfer Services also sets up college visits and assists students with the university application process.
