STEPS TO ENROLLMENT
The Steps to Enrollment is process to help students attain success and achieve their educational goals. The Steps to Enrollment process matches the student’s interests, abilities, needs and goals with the college’s courses, programs and services. Steps to Enrollment help students make informed decisions as they develop their educational plan. Compton College supports educational development and recognizes the student’s worth as an individual through the Steps to Enrollment and related services. Students are expected to participate. Participants receive information about and referrals to programs and services that will contribute to student success.
Steps to Enrollment
Apply for Admission
Apply online at www.compton.edu Click the “Apply Online” button in the upper right corner. All new and returning students (those with an absence of two primary terms: fall and spring), must submit an application. Select an Educational Goal that best describes your purpose for enrolling. After submitting an application, students will be emailed a Student ID number within 48-72 hours.
Financial Aid (recommended)
Apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) www.fafsa.ed.gov/ or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA) https://dream.csac.ca.gov. The school code for Compton College is 001188.

Orientation
New students must attend an educational planning orientation session or complete the online orientation in order to complete the Steps to Enrollment process. The New Student Orientation, intended for students who have not attended Compton College before, will teach students about their educational options and important guidelines for achieving academic goals.
