most CSU campuses, in addition to earning and ECC AA/AS degree prior to transferring to the university.
If the particular CSU campus that you are interested in has a degree “deemed similar,” that CSU campus will offer you a slight GPA bump ensuring some admission priority over other students.
STEP 5: FILE AN ADMISSIONS APPLICATION TO UNIVERSITIES
Apply to multiple campuses – don’t put all of your eggs in one basket. Be aware of the priority application filing deadlines (check with the Transfer Center for deadlines) and apply early. Apply online.
STEP 6: FILE FOR GE CERTIFICATION AT THE RECORDS WINDOW
If you will have the CSU GE pattern or the IGETC completed before transferring to the university, request CSU or IGETC general education certification at the Admissions Window. The request should be made during your last semester at El Camino College, after you have been admitted to universities and have decided where you will enroll.
