maps, transportation guides and bus schedules,
is located in the Student Affairs Building.
P5 GUARANT EED PARK I NG
For $100 a quarter, you can reserve a parking
space in P5 from 6:15 a.m. to 2 p.m., the time
when parking is most challenging. Parking lot
P5 is located on the southwest side of the main
campus. Campus safety personnel remain onsite
during the lot’s hours of operation.
Guaranteed Parking passes may be purchased on
Green River’s website or at the Cashier’s Office
located in the Student Affairs Building.
REPORT I NG CR IME S
For emergencies, call 911
Report all on-campus non-life threatening crimes
to Campus Safety at (253) 833-9111, ext. 3350 or
ext. 2250.
Campus Safety will notify the proper authorities.
All criminal actions and other emergencies that
occur on campus are part of the public record
and are compiled by the Campus Safety office.
Campus Safety works with the Public Information
office to ensure that correct information is
released through the proper channels, which
include all-campus bulletins, emails, fliers,
student publications, The Current and the
community media.
PREVENT I VE PROGRAMS
Resources on the prevention and reporting
of sexual offenses are available in the Health
Services Education Prevention office located in
the Student Affairs Building. All crimes committed
on campus should be immediately reported
to local police. Campus Safety can assist in this
process, if necessary. Assistance and support
for survivors of sexual offenses may be obtained
through campus professionals in Counseling and
Health Services and Women’s Programs.
VANDAL I SM
Green River considers any and all defacement of
public or private property vandalism, regardless
of intent. Students who commit vandalism on- or
off- campus are subject to disciplinary action
by the college, which can include any or all of
the following: restitution, disciplinary probation,
community service, and suspension or dismissal
from the college. Students are also subject to
civil legal action by property owners and criminal
prosecution for their actions.

The Personal Safety Against Violence
Committee, in compliance with VAWA, Title IX,
and legislation, is committed to fostering a
safe learning and working environment for
Green River College's students faculty and
staff by providing prevention education,
training and resources.
WHAT I S VAWA?
The Violence Against Women Act is a federal
law enacted to improve the criminal justice
and community-based responses to domestic
violence, dating violence, sexual assault and
stalking. VAWA, along with the Campus Save Act
and the Jeanne Clery Act, have worked together
to improve the safety of college campuses. Under
these laws, colleges must educate students,
faculty and staff on the prevention of rape,
acquaintance rape, domestic violence, sexual
assault and stalking.
