Any interpretation of this Constitution shall be made with the view of its basic principles which are to increase and foster student responsibility, interest, and participation
in the activities and programs of the Associated Students of Green
River College.
ARTICLE XI
ADOPTION
Section 1 - Student Interpretation
Board of Trustees as an information item in the monthly ASGRC report. This constitution shall become effective immediately upon final approval by the college president, unless otherwise stated in the legislation document, and shall supersede all preceding GRC Constitutions.
ACADEMIC STANDARDS AND PROGRESS POLICY
We care about your academic success and want to be sure you complete your goals on time. To help you accomplish this, we established minimum grade expectations to ensure you make progress toward your degree or certificate. Advising offices monitor grades each quarter and will reach out to you if you haven't met these expectations to help you co-create a plan for success. Please familiarize yourself with the Academic Standards and Progress Policy, which can be viewed at greenriver. edu/campus/policies-and-procedures/ student-affairs-policies/sa-1-academic- standards-progress-policy/.
The interpretation of this constitution, Bylaws, and Senate Standing rules shall be the responsibility of the Governance Committee, subject ultimately to approval by the Board of Trustees of Green
River College.

ADOPTION
This constitution shall become effective upon approval of the Student Body by a simple majority (50% plus 1) vote of the ballots cast at a special election in which 5% of the student body cast ballots.
