Parking Reminders:
§ Decals should be on your car by the end of the first week of classes.
§ Place your decal on the outside of the vehicle, on the left side of the rear window at
the bottom.
§ Student parking is designated by white lines; faculty/staff parking is designated by
green lines; and handicapped parking is designated by blue lines. Parking in a space not
associated with your decal can result in a fine.
§ All vehicles must pull in and not back into a parking space. When parallel parking, park
with the flow of traffic, placing your passenger door to the curb.
§ Backing into a parking space will result in a parking fine.
Inclement Weather/Emergency Alerts
In the event of inclement weather, GTC will close or adjust its operating hours in the interest of student and employee safety. The College will determine its schedule and does NOT follow the schedule of the Greenville County School District in all instances. Decisions and announcements regarding college classes and activities will be INDEPENDENT of the Greenville County School District and announced and posted on area media outlets, the college website (https://www.gvltec.edu), and the college switchboard, (864) 250-8000.
All current students and employees are automatically signed up for emergency alerts and operational notifications. Optional notifications, like those from the Bookstore, Cafe and Bistro, Campus Life, etc. can be unsubscribed at any time through submitting the unsubscribe form found at the bottom of every email. This does not include system notifications about student accounts, registration statuses, and other critical notifications relative to a student's academic status which cannot be manually unsubscribed.
