Type II Absences-
DO count toward the maximum allowable absences for courses (3 or 5):
Excused/lawful
Permission to make up work
Three school days to submit parent notes
Parent Notes: The official absentee form is located on the web site, in the back of the Student Handbook, and from the Attendance Office. Parent notes must include: Current date, full names of student, grade level of student, dates of absences, reasons for absences, phone numbers where parents/guardians can be reached to verify notes, signatures of parents/guardians
Type III Absences-
Any absence that do not fit either of the above two categories.
DO count toward the maximum allowable absences for courses (3 or 5):
Unexcused/unlawful
No permission to make up work
Examples are absences without parent notes or other required documentation, cases of students skipping/cutting classes, students leaving campus without permission, etc. These unlawful absences will be referred to the school administration for appropriate disciplinary action.
