DISABILITY SERVICES
WNSP 120W 281.765.7940
Hours of Operation for Disability Services are: Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
LSC-North Harris believes in equal access to educational opportunities for all individuals. Therefore, we endeavor to create, promote, and maintain an environment where individuals with disabilities have access to educational opportunities with minimal adaptations. Students with documented disabilities are entitled to reasonable and appropriate academic accommodations in accordance with federal laws. Services are available to any student with a learning, sensory, physical, or psychological disability.
Students with disabilities are encouraged to schedule an appointment or stop by during walk-in hours during the semester prior to enrollment. Documentation of disability should be provided at that time. Disability Services staff aid each student in the development of career, academic, and personal goals. Accommodations are determined based upon the individual needs of the student. Disability Services staff talk with faculty to explain accommodations and promote the inclusion of students with disabilities in programs and activities. An Assistive Technology lab is located inside the Disability Services office. The lab provides specialized equipment and software programs that offer students with disabilities a level of accessibility to instruction and course materials. To schedule and appointment or ask about walk-in hours, visit Disability Services in Winship 120. You can also call 281.765.7940 or visit LoneStar.edu/disabilityservices.
