Many current textbooks and course materials are placed on reserve for students. These materials are available for in-house use from the Circulation Desk on the second floor.
Tutoring
LSC-North Harris provides a system of free tutoring and support for students in biology, math, and English. Tutoring sessions provide guidance to students seeking tools to build a successful college experience and study skills for life- long learning. It is helpful to bring your textbook and latest assignment in written form when visiting one of the tutoring centers. For help with other subjects, please ask your professor. Biology Learning Center

The Biology Learning Center provides biology students with tools and skills to achieve success in the various biological fields. The center is filled with resources such as computers, textbooks, digital microscopes, slides, and models of cells and the human body. Free tutoring and numerous group study opportunities are offered.
Math Achievement Center (MAC)

The Math Achievement Center (MAC) is a math tutoring lab for all math classes provided at LSC-North Harris. The MAC provides access to various forms of technology to support student learning and success. Students can check out laptops for use in the MAC to complete math assignments and have access to interactive projectors and desktop computers with all the software used in their math classes. Students are encouraged to use the MAC to visit with a tutor, meet with a group in one of the study rooms, or review with an instructor in the conference room.
The Writing Center

The Writing Center is staffed by professional writing tutors with faculty credentials who can help you at any stage in the writing process. It is both a quiet place for you to work alone and a place where you can consult with tutors concerning your questions. They can also help you learn strategies to overcome your writing and reading difficulties. To prepare for your visit, please be sure to have your assignment instructions in writing, your professor’s name, course number, and your student ID number.
