                 ABOUT THE COLLEGE
Since 1973, Lone Star College-North Harris has been serving residents of the Aldine and Spring communities. It was the first and founding college of Lone Star College and set the pace with quality, affordable education. LSC-North Harris serves thousands of students via its 200-acre main campus located in north Houston and will open its new East Aldine Center in Fall 2019, southeast of Sam Houston Parkway and Aldine-Westfield Road. The college offers more than 180 degree and certificate programs designed for both university transfer and career building. The college is also at the forefront of education and training for emerging and high-demand occupations, including nursing, HVAC- R, welding, and accounting. Home to a 350-seat performing arts theater and two art galleries, LSC-North Harris is considered one of north Houston’s finest resources for visual, applied, and performing arts, offering a variety of events free of charge or at minimal cost. Industry-specific classes and programs are also offered through the college’s specialized facilities: the LSC-Health Professions Building and the CHI LSC-North Harris School of Cosmetology, both of which capitalize on local partnerships to provide valuable training in high- demand fields.
