    Prevent acts of sexual violence
before they happen.
Trigger Warning: Sexual Violence. The reporting and prevention of Sexual Violence is a fundamental program objective of the Safe Northeast campaign. Northeast State partners with several community agencies to provide trauma-informed services to students and employees who have been victimized by sexual violence.
Sexual violence occurs when someone is forced, coerced, or manipulated into unwanted sexual activity against his or her will or when a person is incapable to give consent due to being underage, having an illness or disability, or being incapacitated due to alcohol or other drugs. Consent can be initially given, and then later withdrawn.
Sexual violence happens to people of all ages, races, genders, sexual orientations, religions, abilities, professions, incomes, and ethnicities. Sexual violence is never the victim’s fault! Become an active participant in the prevention of sexual violence by understanding the actions that create cultures of consent and respect on the campus and in the community. Details are available at www.NortheastState.edu/SexualViolence.
