The Center for Black Culture and Student Success serves as a central hub for Black-identified and other students at Mt. SAC.. The Center understands the value of cultural enrichment; therefore, we intentionally introduce our students to Black history and culture through fieldtrips, movies, and other events. Within the Center, our Umoja Aspire Program focuses on the graduation, transfer, and retention rates of Black students utilizing tools such as learning community classes, academic counseling, tutoring, workshops, and more. The Center works to practice in-reach with our students on campus and outreach to those in our community to show that they have a home here on campus.
