Counseling faculty specialize in career, educational, and personal counseling and are here to help. Come by the Counseling Center or visit our website to make an appointment. A Counselor will assist you in selecting your classes and developing your Mountie Academic Plan (MAP) to keep you on track.
DHH Center (Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services)

This cultural and academic center provides a space for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students to receive the support needed to be successful at Mt. SAC and transfer to university. The Center has a variety of services for Deaf students including Deaf mentoring, workshops, interpreting, CART transcription and notetaking services. We are proud to be the only California community college with a dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing Center.
DREAM Program

The DREAM Program provides specialized services and support for our Dreamers (Undocumented Students) at Mt. SAC. Students in the DREAM Program benefit from specialized counseling (academic, career, and personal), assistance with the AB 540 affidavit, the California Dream Act Financial Aid application, and scholarship applications. On-campus referrals are also available for immigration-related legal services, including DACA renewal support. The DREAM Program strives to provide the necessary support and services for students to reach their academic and career goals.
Dual Enrollment/Special Admit

The Dual Enrollment Program provides high school students (9-12 grade) the opportunity to take college-level courses
at a Mt. SAC partnering high school campus and earn college credit. Students must submit a college application and a dual enrollment application. The Special Admit Program is designed for K-12 students who would benefit from enrolling in college-level courses or vocational work at the Mt. SAC campus. Students must submit a college application and a special admit application each term. The Dual Enrollment and Special Admit gives students the opportunity to enroll in college level courses that can help them reach their academic and career goals.
EOPS (Extended Opportunity Programs & Services) /CARE

Extended Opportunity Programs & Services (EOPS) is a state-funded program that provides holistic support services to eligible low-income students who are pursuing an associate’s degree and/or planning to transfer to a four-year university. EOPS services are designed to give students individualized support to achieve their declared educational objectives.
CARE

are single head-of-households with at least one child under the age of 18, receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)/California Work Opportunity, and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) cash aid benefits for themselves or their children and who are receiving cash aid benefits for themselves and/or their children.
El Centro, the Center for Latindad

El Centro, The Center for Latinidad, provides collaborative programming with Mt. SAC and outside partners. We serve to support, educate, and assist the community in gaining a sense of awareness and cultural wealth. We honor, celebrate, and explore the diverse cultural roots within Latinidad. Our center also provides a relaxed study and networking space to promote community and academic support. We are open to all students and community members, please stop by and learn about the different events and programs we have planned for the term.
