USEFUL TIPS FROM SENATORS CENTRAL
• Cell phone use, including text messaging, during classroom instruction is prohibited unless using it for classroom activities.
• Children may not accompany adults into classrooms, offices, or
other work spaces as a babysitting function and are not to be left unsupervised in the hallways of the buildings or on college grounds.
• Arrive a few minutes early to class instead of just on time—don’t be late!
• Pay attention in class—instructors may grade on classroom participation.
• Class attendance may be required at Walters State and often may count
toward your final grade. You must inform your instructors of planned and unplanned absences and obtain any missed assignments from them.
• Familiarize yourself with the college catalog and timetable of classes
• All Walters State campuses are smoke-free environments. Smoking is
permitted in personal vehicles only.
