RENEGADE PANTRY
Campus Center, Room 4 | (661) 395-4355
The Renegade Pantry began in 2009, when there was a massive cut to California Community College special needs
programs, which led to a growing need among students. BCSGA responded to the needs of their constituents and developed
the Renegade Pantry program. The Pantry’s main goal is to help maintain the health and welfare of Bakersfield College
students through organized college, community sponsorships, and donations of non-perishable food items. Access to
adequate food is basic human right, and the attendance of college should not forfeit this right.
$
We believe in empowering students with healthy food as quickly as possible in order to prevent additional stress
to academics.
