Center for Student Success Building, Second floor | (661) 395-4202
Supplemental Instruction (SI) entails scheduled group study sessions guided by a trained SI Leader. A typical 3-unit course will have 2-3 fifty-minute group study sessions per week. Please check the SI Session Master Schedule published on their webpage starting the 2nd week of classes for specific subjects and the days/times those study groups meet. SI Leaders are students who have been recommended by an instructor and have earned an A or B in the course. If you’re enrolled in a course with Supplemental Instruction, you’ll see your SI Leader in each class session, assisting your professor and inviting you to attend one of the SI group study sessions outside of class. Please note that even IF you don’t have an SI Leader in any of your classes, you can still come to an SI study group session for that subject.
