Bakersfield College’s Veterans Resource Center (VRC) assists student veterans as they transition from military service to academic success. The VRC promotes the academic, personal, and professional development of student veterans, reservists, members of the National Guard and their dependents through supportive services, resources and community building events.
The Veterans Resource Center provides comprehensive support for student veterans and active-duty service members to meet their unique academic needs. The VRC assists faculty and administrators with resources and information to support the student veteran community. The VRC also provides community resource information that is specific to the needs of veterans and some of these services are offered on campus for accessibility.
The VRC student lounge is a place where veterans and military-connected students can meet other vets, eat lunch, or just relax between classes. The large study room, conference rooms and computer lab offer student veterans a quiet place to focus on their studies. The VRC also aids in applying for educational benefits, financial aid, and admission to Bakersfield College.
