However, only those students who identify themselves to the college and present appropriate written documentation of a disability are eligible for accommodations. Students with disabilities should contact the DSPS office as soon as possible, even if they are not yet enrolled.
To be eligible to receive services students must provide disability verification and meet with the DSPS Counselor for intake.

Students seeking financial assistance to meet the costs of education are encouraged to contact the Office of Financial Aid, located on the second floor of the Students Services building and at the Delano Campus. A variety of grants, scholarships, loans, and part-time employment opportunities are available for students who qualify based on the following factors:
• Financial need
• Enrollment in six or more units leading to a degree or certificate • Satisfactory Academic Progress

If it does not give you an option to check your 2022-2023 status, please verify that your 2022-2023 FAFSA was processed through www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Remember: It is your responsibility to be sure you have submitted all required documentation in a timely manner! Check your emails and InsideBC account at least once a week. If you have documents outstanding in Financial Aid, they will be listed in your InsideBC account.
Each year, students are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov and the California Promise Grant (formerly called BOG Waiver application) or, for AB540 students, the Dream Act application (instead of the FAFSA) and the California Promise Grant, to be considered for any of the following programs:
California Dream Act
The California Dream Act of 2011 became law through the passage of two state bills. AB 130 relating to private scholarships and AB 131 relating to Financial Aid Administered by the State of California.
The California Dream Act allows students who meet certain criteria (as defined by AB 540) to apply for and, if eligible, receive: Ø Privately funded scholarships
Ø Board of Governors Fee Waivers
Ø Assistance from EOP&S, CARE or CalWORKs
Ø State financial aid like Cal Grants and Chaffee Grants
California Promise Grant
Did you update your California Promise Grant? Check your InsideBC Student Account Summary to verify if the California Promise Grant formerly known as Board of Governor’s Fee Waiver has been processed. Please allow 24 hours from the time that classes are officially added for the fee waiver to process.
