                    FEDERAL PROGRAMS ADMINISTRATION
Federal Programs Administration is responsible for ensuring that Birmingham City Schools (BCS) is in compliance with all federal guidelines as it relates to the spending of the following Federal grant funds.
 Title I, Part A- Improving Basic Programs Operated by Local Educational Agencies  Title II-Preparing, Training, and Recruiting High Quality Teachers and Principals  Title III-Language Instruction for English Learners and Immigrant Students
 Title I School Improvement
 Title IX, Part A McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act  School Improvement Grant (SIG)
BCS operates a school-wide Title I program of all 43 district area schools and 20 participating non-public schools receiving Title I Part A grant funds to supplement their educational programs.
