COASTAL TRADITIONS
CINO DAY
Since 1972, Coastal has been celebrating the end of the school year
with this huge event on Prince Lawn. CINO Day brings together students,
faculty and staff for activities, food and fun! In 2013, CINO Week was
created to continue the celebration through the entire last week of
classes, ending with CINO Day on Friday.
CINO QUEST
This three-day summer leadership program was created in 2010 to give
incoming freshmen an opportunity to build their leadership skills before
they start school in the fall. CINO Ignite followed as a sophomore
leadership development program.
CINO TIE WELCOME
Formerly known as Welcome Week, this is a weekend full of events
and sessions for incoming students to get acclimated to the University
before classes begin on Monday.
STUDENT ORGANIZATION KICKOFF
Student organizations promote themselves at tables on Prince Lawn
each semester to encourage new membership. This occurs on the first
Wednesday of each semester.
GREEK WEEK
Each spring, fraternities and sororities participate in a week-long
competition for the coveted Greek Week trophy.
