APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID
For each academic year you need financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA). Many students will submit
the FAFSA; undocumented students who meet the non-resident exemption requirements under AB 540 may submit the CADAA. Both applications open on October 1 for the upcoming academic year.
The priority deadline to apply for aid for the upcoming academic year is March 2. Late applications can be submitted, but aid options may be reduced.
Do not neglect to file a FAFSA or CADAA. Without an aid application, you cannot receive financial aid, so be sure to file! We’re here to help you if you have questions about your application.

VERIFICATION
The financial aid verification process is similar to
an audit. If you are selected for verification, we
will notify you via your Student Center To-Do List and Wildcat email to provide you with instructions on how to create a Financial Aid Account. Submit your tasks by the June 1 priority deadline to avoid financial aid disbursement delays. If we need to make any corrections to your FAFSA or CADAA your estimated financial aid award may be revised. Look for on-campus verification workshops or contact our office for help navigating the verification process.
