                                                 FINANCIAL AID/SCHOLARSHIPS
ACCEPTING AND RECEIVING YOUR AID
Financial Aid applicants are awarded aid in April. You will receive a Wildcat email with a link to your Financial Aid Offer Letter, with instructions on how to accept your aid and any required next steps needed to receive your aid. All aid is accepted in your Student Center via the Portal. Any aid you accept will be applied towards any university fees due. If you accept enough aid to cover your fee balance, no out- of-pocket payment will be due. If you accept more aid than the total balance due to the University, you will receive a disbursement (refund) at the start of each semester. If you do not have enough aid to cover your university charges, you will need to pay the balance by the fee payment deadline–July 27, 2022.

IMPORTANT STEP FOR CAL GRANT AND MIDDLE CLASS SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
New undergraduate students must communicate to the California Student Aid Commission that they plan to enroll in college and want to claim their Cal Grant or Middle-Class Scholarship. Students must register and log in to their WebGrants account to do this at mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov. If the college of attendance listed is not accurate, students must initiate a school change through WebGrants. The California Student Aid Commission will notify us once your eligibility
is confirmed and we will update your Cal Grant offer once confirmation is received. Middle Class Scholarships will be awarded in October.
