Your email account You can access your student email by logging into mySandburg and using the link at the top of the page. Every Sandburg student is assigned a student email account using the following format: username@ student.sandburg.edu. You should monitor and check your Sandburg email account daily for important information about your grades, schedule, midterm warnings, and important messages and reminders about your courses from instructors. Tech Help The Tech Help desk is located in the library. Normal hours are posted on sandburg.edu and outside of the library entrance. If you have any questions regarding technology or need support, visit the Tech Help website at sandburg.edu/techhelp, call 309.341.5446 or email support@sandburg.edu. Technology resources The podcast studio, lightboard and virtual reality (VR) headsets are all available for use by students, staff and/or faculty. These resources are located in designated areas near the Tech Help desk and library area. Contact ftlc@sandburg.edu to learn more or reserve for use. • Podcast studio: Record high-quality audio for podcasts or other types of audio content. • One button studio: A specialized piece of equipment used for creating videos. • Light board: Lit from behind, it allows you to write or draw on it while facing the camera. The resulting video shows the user’s writing or drawing in real-time. • Virtual reality headsets are loaded with various applications. Office365 All students have Microsoft Office365 and OneDrive through mySandburg. OneDrive gives you access to 100 GB of cloud-based storage and web-based Microsoft Office applications. Wireless access & printing All Sandburg campus locations are wireless-enabled. Connect to the “Student Wireless” network on your device. Open a browser, and navigate to sandburg.edu. You will be prompted to enter your login credentials for access to the network. Wireless printing can be accessed by clicking the icon in the upper right-hand corner of the mySandburg page.
