Welcome to the Huntley College of Agriculture at Cal Poly Pomona! You are now part of a long agricultural tradition that dates back over eight decades to when Charles Voorhis donated his school for boys in San Dimas to be the southern campus of Cal Poly. Cereal magnate W.K. Kellogg subsequently donated his Pomona horse ranch to the State of California for Cal Poly Pomona.
Our college educates and trains the next generation of leaders in the farming, food, and fashion industries. With your education, you will have excellent career prospects. The U.S. Department of Agriculture predicts that the number of annual job openings will exceed the number of
college graduates. In addition, Southern California is a major hub for food processing and fashion, offering exciting opportunities for those interested in these careers.
I encourage you to make the most of your experience here in the college: work and study hard, and take advantage of the many hands-on learning opportunities available to you in our labs, fields, classrooms, and livestock units. Our dedicated faculty and staff are here to assist you.
