The Current is a historic student-produced, award-winning multi-media online and print news source that began nearly 60 years ago. After a nearly two-year hiatus, it will be relaunched in the 2025-26 academic year!
Led by a creative team of student content creators, those involved write, edit, and produce content for the website (www. thegrcurrent.com),itssocialmedia platforms, and its companion newspaper. All students are welcome and encouraged to join! Paid student positions will be posted on Handshake throughout the academic year.
Students are encouraged to enroll in journalism courses, though taking these courses are not a requirement
for contributing.
