M.A.L.E.S. Mentoring Club
Mentoring, Achievement, Leadership, Empowerment, & Service
All GTC students are welcome! The overarching goal of the M.A.L.E.S. club is to help students become stronger leaders and allies to the communities by practicing inclusion in their organizations and campuses. M.A.L.E.S. empowers them to create a more accepting, equitable environment, and prepares them to work effectively in a diverse workplace. Participants will explore the history and roots of the community, examine where they are currently, and look to their future.
The M.A.L.E.S. Mentoring Club includes individual meetings and group workshops every other week.

FIRST-YEAR EXPERIENCE (FYE)
https://www.gvltec.edu/fye
The First Year Experience is branded as “Find Your E” to support the diverse interests of our students and to encourage self-discovery as well as personal development. Our faculty and staff host fun and engaging activities to help students navigate the college, learn about success strategies, connect with resources and services, and meet other students. Through FYE events and college success courses, students learn from experienced, second-year students who serve as FYE Peer Leaders. Peer Leaders share their personal tips and strategies to help build a sense of community and encourage student success.
