The Student Cabinet will also be invited to attend other meetings:
• At least one Faculty Senate Meeting
• At least one President’s Cabinet Meeting
• A joint Cabinet meeting to include the Student Cabinet, members from the President’s
Cabinet, College Deans, the Chief of Police, and other identified staff members
• SGA Senate meetings
Application Process:
• Candidates will be referred by Academic Deans and Department Heads or the Director of Student Life
• Upon application, students will be asked to provide a two-minute video indicating their interest in serving on the Student Cabinet
• A narrowed pool will be invited to Candidate Interviews, which will be moderated by the Director of Student Life.
• The final selections will be made at the within one week of the Candidate Interviews
Eligibility requirements
• Provide campus tours of GTC for prospective students and their families, group tours as requested
• Assist with all large-scale recruitment events for the Office of Enrollment Services
• Schedule time to participate in Student Life Activities
• Represent GTC at events such as GTC Open House, Fall for Greenville, Community Fest
@ GTC, iMagine Upstate, Ed-Ops, Counselor Connect, Commencement Ceremony,
Special Events on campus and in the community.
• Attend monthly Presidential Ambassador meetings
• Meet GPA >3.0 SAP requirements
• Students are required to provide two letters of reference, with at least one letter
provided by a college faculty or staff member
