                   PAYING FOR COLLEGE
CERTIFICATE OF RESIDENCE - Certain school districts will pay a portion of your tuition if you live in their school district. There are 22 school districts participating in this program. To take advantage of sponsored tuition rates, you must request a Certificate of Residence from your sponsoring school district. HACC does not determine your residency within a school district. Refer to your school district for any questions regarding school district residency. For a complete list of sponsoring districts and links, visit our website at www.hacc.edu. Click on PAYING FOR SCHOOL. Then click on TUTION. Scroll down and click on the SPONSORING SCHOOL DISTRICTS link. Scroll down to view the list of participating school districts.

FINANCIAL AID CHECKLIST
FILE THE FAFSA AT WWW.FAFSA.GOV TO APPLY
You will need tax information for you and/or your parent(s) to complete the FAFSA. We suggest you utilize the IRS Data Retrieval Tool if possible. Follow the link to transfer data to www.PHEAA.org to complete the PA state grant application.
LOG INTO MYHACC USING YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD
 Browse to http://passwordregistration.hacc.edu
Login with your username and your password.
Example: if your HAWKmail address is jad1234@hawkmail.hacc.edu, your username is jad1234. If your birthday is 06/01/1998, your initial password is Hacc060198.
 Provide answer to security questions.
 Log into my.hacc.edu
 myHACC is the official communication method of the Financial Aid office and is available to
students 24 hours a day. Please check your account often.
ACTIVATE YOUR HAWKMAIL ACCOUNT
 Log into my.hacc.edu
 In the [STUDENT] tab choose the HAWKMAIL link.
 Enter your username and password and then click on SIGN IN. (remember your password is case
sensitive)
 Create a new password and re-enter it.
 Read the Terms of Service and click I ACCEPT. CREATE MY ACCOUNT.
 Check your mail often for important messages from Financial Aid.
SIGN THE FINANCIAL AID AUTHORIZATION STATEMENT
 Log into my.hacc.edu and click on the [FINANCIAL AID] tab.
 Under [ONLINE FORMS] heading (column on the right), click on AID AUTHORIZATION.
 Select Aid Year from Drop Down Menu and Submit.
 Click on [RESOURCES/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION] tab.
 Read statement and choose I ACCEPT or I DO NOT ACCEPT.
 Click on SUBMIT INFORMATION.
COMPLETE OUTSTANDING REQUIREMENTS
You can access instructions or forms for each requirement by clicking on the link under the [FINANCIAL AID REQUIREMENTS] heading in the middle column of the [FINANCIAL AID] tab. Items requiring your attention are designated with a red ‘x’.
