TRANSFER SERVICES
HACC works with transfer institutions to provide several options for students to continue their education. Detailed information is available at www.hacc.edu/students/transferringfromHACC. Students should also work with their advisor for specific transfer information.
For a smooth transfer process follow these steps:
 Inform your advisor of your interest in transferring to a 4 year school. Meet with your advisor to map out your transfer plan.
 Research colleges and universities to find which institutions offer your major.
 Meet with college representatives during Transfer Days and college fairs.
 Visit the colleges on your list. Make an appointment with their Admissions Department and try to visit during classes to talk with students and professors.
 Apply to your selected colleges being sure to complete all information including financial aid information by the deadlines stated by each college.
 Request that official college transcripts be forwarded to the colleges to which you are applying.
 Check with your intended transfer schools to make sure you have fulfilled all admissions requirements and to
make sure that they have received all required materials.
 Read all materials your transfer school sends you.
 Request a final HACC transcript be forwarded to your transfer school after you have taken your last course at HACC.
